The Art Of Making A Diagram
Who knew that diagram making could be difficult. Well, I did not. During the beginning stages of fabricating our programming document, our studio professor charged the class with a series of diagram making charettes. The first diagram had to show an example of "one" relationship between our studio building and the campus. The first picture displayed on the right shows my attempt to explain the placement of our studio building in relation to other buildings on campus.
However, when adding trees, parking, and a neighboring rail road the initial message became unclear. Adding color to trees also makes the diagram misleading. I quickly learned that simplicity is key when making diagrams.
